This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Coordinate, compile, and analyze financial and cost data for the organization along with supporting grants and contracts.
• Act as a fiscal partner to Executive Directors managing workforce development initiatives.
• Concentrate on invoicing, reporting the financial status of projects, managing project forecasts, and conducting modeling for strategic planning and analysis across various contracts.
• Develop procedures and policies to ensure effective and efficient financial reporting and adherence to Federal WIOA, local, State, and corporate regulations.
• Ensure that projects meet their financial commitments promptly and economically in line with policies, budgets, and WIOA standards.
• Prepare and oversee project budgets, forecasts, and working capital requirements.
• Monitor government contracts and private restricted funding to ensure full financial utilization.
• Process employee expenses, vendor project invoices, and analyze program payroll data.
• Conduct month-end closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliations.
• Gather supporting documentation for monthly contract invoices.
• Assist with annual audit requirements and manage periodic requests for program audits.
• Supervise and finalize the software client invoice process, ensuring that customer orders are invoiced and fulfilled promptly.
• Perform additional duties and projects as required.
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with US government contracts is preferred.
• Must possess demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ability to reconcile balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Capability to implement fiscal management policies and procedures effectively.
• Strong expertise in advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• Excellent professional communication skills with a strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.
• Experience managing sensitive and confidential information.
• Familiarity with interactions involving Executive, Upper Management, and third-party funding sources.
• Must be proactive, hands-on, and adaptable to competitive work demands.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational, analytical, research, and critical thinking capabilities.
• Ability to meet month-end accounting deadlines and work independently in a virtual team setting.
• Capacity to handle pressure and efficiently complete a high volume of work assignments with accuracy and speed.
• Ability to collaborate well with others while demonstrating professionalism and courtesy.
• Successful completion of a background check, including criminal history, prior employment, and education verification.
