This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +5 more states.
• Engage in the month-end closing activities, which include month-end journal entries, accruals, balance sheet and bank reconciliations, as well as the preparation of corporate files and workbooks in compliance with publicly traded company standards.
• Oversee the processing of cash receipts, which involves downloading commission statements, preparing data, and uploading it into the revenue management system.
• Evaluate monthly revenue for accuracy and collaborate with insurance carriers to address any discrepancies.
• Generate monthly invoices for benefits enrollment clients and manage routine accounts receivable tasks.
• Handle Accounts Payable processes, including coding and payment execution, ensuring adherence to internal controls and timely payments.
• Investigate payment issues and coordinate with team leaders to finalize outstanding payments.
• Prepare consolidated financial reports at the department level for executive leadership.
• Support charity matching processing, reconciliation of the fixed asset register, review of employee expense reimbursements, and preparation for internal audits.
• Create, implement, and sustain accounting procedures by assessing current practices and suggesting improvements.
• Assist the finance and accounting team with other responsibilities, special projects, and analyses as needed.
• Up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in accounting within a publicly traded company is preferred.
• Familiarity with Workday and Power BI is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple job demands simultaneously.
• Capacity to make informed decisions based on available information.
• Attention to detail is critical.
