This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities across all group entities.
• Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation, review, and filing of external financial reports.
• Take ownership of accounting processes and projects from start to finish.
• Use sound judgment to maintain the close timeline and ensure timely decision-making.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and other cross-functional teams.
• Evaluate accounting implications of business initiatives.
• Review control effectiveness and aid in the design of new controls.
• Discover and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Research and document technical accounting positions on significant or atypical transactions.
• Evaluate risk and internal control factors, escalating issues with relevant context and recommendations.
• Analyze intricate processes and financial data to uncover root causes and actionable insights.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 5 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for month-end and quarter-end closes.
• Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with multiple jurisdictions; multi-entity experience is highly advantageous.
• Proficient in advanced Excel functions, including reconciliations, complex formulas, and data analysis.
• Familiarity with AI tools to enhance accuracy or efficiency in routine accounting tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working collaboratively with departments such as Legal, Tax, or Treasury.
• Ability to research and document technical accounting positions effectively.
• Strong judgment and capacity to make timely decisions to adhere to closing deadlines.
• Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and escalating risks.
• CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with external financial reporting or statutory filings is beneficial.
• Direct experience with Iplicit or similar multi-entity accounting systems is advantageous.
• Background in a fast-growing business environment is a plus.
• Experience with process automation or systems implementation projects is desirable.
