Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Direct all accounting functions while providing support for the company’s financial operations.

• Supervise reporting and operational accounting activities.

• Manage the general ledger along with financial books and records.

• Develop and enforce financial processes, policies, procedures, and controls.

• Lead the monthly closing, consolidation, and account reconciliation efforts.

• Oversee both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

• Act as the key liaison with the external audit firm during the annual financial audit.

• Enhance accounting processes through the use of internal business applications and automation.

• Facilitate the implementation, adoption, and ongoing improvement of systems within accounting functions.

• Assist HR with payroll administration and the verification of variable and discretionary compensation.

• Collaborate with management on budgeting and forecasting initiatives.

• Partner with leadership and functional management to foster service orientation and continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10+ years of pertinent accounting experience.

• 3+ years of experience as a Controller; equivalent experience as an Assistant Controller in a medium to large organization may also be accepted.

• FP&A experience is preferred but not mandatory.

• Strong proficiency in Excel.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Extensive experience with QuickBooks.

• CPA certification and experience in public accounting are preferred but not essential.

• Candidates must reside in the United States.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; InterPayments does not sponsor visas or employ individuals requiring work authorization outside the United States.
