This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Execute month-end closing activities for various entities.
• Prepare journal entries for accurate financial reporting.
• Analyze and record accruals related to pending invoices, open purchase orders, contracts, and credit card transactions.
• Reconcile designated balance sheet accounts and provide comprehensive documentation and detailed analysis.
• Examine assigned cost center income statement variances on a month-over-month and year-over-year basis.
• Conduct actual-versus-budget/forecast income statement reviews for allocated cost centers.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to gain cross-training in areas such as prepaids, fixed assets, and other assigned functions.
• Document cash transaction activities and reconcile all bank accounts effectively.
• Assist in financial and tax audits by providing the necessary PBC schedules and documentation.
• Ensure that all procedures align with GAAP standards and accounting department policies.
• Perform ad hoc analyses as needed.
• Report directly to the GL Accounting Manager.
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance is preferred.
• Strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent skills in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and both verbal and written communication.
• Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments.
• Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Workday is a plus.
• Proven understanding of financial and accounting principles and systems.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel.
