Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Execute month-end closing processes for various entities.

• Prepare journal entries for financial records.

• Analyze and record accruals related to pending invoices, open purchase orders, contracts, and credit card transactions.

• Reconcile designated balance sheet accounts while providing supporting documentation and thorough analysis.

• Review and comment on month-over-month and year-over-year variances in cost center income statements.

• Conduct actual-to-budget/forecast income statement reviews for assigned cost centers.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to cross-train in prepaids, fixed assets, and other relevant areas.

• Document cash transaction activities and reconcile all bank accounts.

• Assist in financial and tax audits by supplying PBC schedules and necessary documentation.

• Ensure adherence to GAAP standards and the accounting department's policies.

• Conduct ad hoc analyses as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in accounting.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, listening, and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively with other departments.

• Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Workday is an advantage.

• Proven understanding of financial and accounting principles and systems.

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
