Stability & Documentation Manager – R&D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the stability testing program for the gummy product line, which encompasses protocols, timepoints, result monitoring against shelf-life objectives, and data presentations.

• Assess the suitability of proposed or existing testing methods for particular matrices.

• Negotiate pricing and project scope with external testing laboratories.

• Review and update the documentation suite for each SKU, including specifications and SFPs.

• Manage the progression of product specifications from initial drafts to final approval.

• Detect stability and documentation concerns before they escalate into launch or quality issues.

• Gather and evaluate formulation and ingredient documents for review.

• Work collaboratively with Quality, Operations, and co-manufacturers to ensure consistency throughout the supply chain.

• Keep a thorough record of SKU histories.

• Report directly to the Director of R&D within the Product organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in R&D, quality, or product development within supplements, food, or a similarly regulated sector.

• Experience with gummies or confectionery products is preferred.

• Designed and executed stability studies, including the validation of testing methods for intricate matrices.

• Understanding of gummy chemistry, detection limits, matrix interference, and extraction techniques.

• Proven experience negotiating with contract testing laboratories regarding pricing, scope, or turnaround times.

• Demonstrated ownership of specifications from beginning to end, along with the ability to approve them.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline.

• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams, co-manufacturers, and external laboratories.
