SSI Eligibility Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Perform eligibility assessments for electronic systems for youth entering care and on an annual basis thereafter.

• Collaborate with case workers and/or a child’s placement to gather necessary documentation, secure required signatures, and finalize SSA Function Reports.

• Collect and archive application information and documentation within PCG’s tailored case management system.

• Complete and submit applications for SSI, RSDI, Continuing Disability Reviews, 18-Year-Old conversions, and Disabled Adult Claims.

• Oversee applications awaiting processing at SSA by responding to notifications, coordinating Consultative Exams, and providing new evidence.

• Conduct denial reviews and submit appeals when required.

• Perform income redeterminations.

• Address and process referrals from case workers.

• Assist with and complete Change of Payee procedures for youth in foster care.

• Maintain weekly communication with SSA.

• Engage in state and federal audit inquiries.

• Produce detailed and summary reports.

• Conduct both virtual and in-person training sessions for case workers.

• Cultivate positive professional relationships with clients and team members.

• Encourage information sharing and open dialogue among colleagues.

• Travel within Wisconsin as necessary.

• Capability to comprehend and interpret federal and state laws and regulations.

• Exceptional communication and client-facing skills.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.

• Skill in prioritizing responsibilities effectively.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• 1-2 years of relevant professional experience.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
