SRE / RCA Lead & Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Lead the nearshore Development and DevOps Run & Build team.

• Promote a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and adherence to SRE best practices.

• Set and evaluate reliability standards, including SLIs, SLOs, and Error Budgets.

• Manage incident response and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

• Implement proactive measures to address critical production defects.

• Supervise cloud observability and monitoring systems.

• Enhance cloud optimization, cost-effectiveness, and architectural advancements for AWS serverless applications.

• Collaborate with French build teams and customer stakeholders regarding operational support, backlog priorities, and knowledge sharing.

• Mentor team members, carry out performance evaluations, and assist engineers in navigating operational and technical challenges.

• Ensure adherence to cloud security protocols, Infrastructure as Code standards, and enterprise reliability guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in the IT sector.

• Demonstrated experience in SRE, DevOps leadership, or managing technical teams.

• Strong practical knowledge of AWS Cloud services, especially serverless architectures such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and Aurora PostgreSQL.

• Proficiency in observability and logging tools like CloudWatch, Splunk, or Dynatrace.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform, Python, or Go.

• Experience in establishing SRE practices, including SLIs, SLOs, Error Budgets, incident management, and RCA.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities in a global environment.

• Fluency in both written and spoken English is mandatory.
