Site Reliability Engineer – Observability, Databases

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee, enhance, and develop the visibility stack, which includes VictoriaMetrics vmagent and Mimir.

• Create a scalable platform.

• Engage in automation and orchestration initiatives to optimize operations and decrease manual intervention.

• Refine processes to guarantee scalability, reliability, and high availability of infrastructure.

• Join the on-call rotation following the completion of a training period.

• Assist in maintaining database platforms, including MariaDB, Cassandra, FoundationDB, and ClickHouse.

• Design, develop, and sustain Exoscale’s visibility platform.

• Contribute to enhancing Exoscale products as a user of the platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Mimir/Prometheus and VictoriaMetrics vmagent (or similar alternatives).

• Experienced in Linux with a comprehensive understanding of systems administration.

• Familiar with Kubernetes and the deployment of applications.

• Skilled in the Go programming language and knowledgeable about distributed systems principles.

• Well-versed in MariaDB, Kafka, Cassandra, FoundationDB, or ClickHouse.

• Adept in configuration management and handling large-scale infrastructure.

• Enthusiastic about automation and streamlining workflows to minimize manual tasks.

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

• Capable of working effectively in a distributed team environment.

• Inquisitive, self-directed, and keen to learn new technologies.

• Willing to participate in the on-call rotation after completing a training period.
