SRE Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance the platform and infrastructure.

• Contribute to shaping the SRE Platform roadmap.

• Create internal tools and automation, often utilizing Claude Code and other AI technologies.

• Minimize KTLO cognitive load by automating manual processes.

• Provide infrastructure support to development teams.

• Operate and enhance production containerized workloads on AWS ECS and Kubernetes (AWS EKS).

• Manage and evolve cloud infrastructure as code utilizing Terraform.

• Enhance reliability, observability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

• Make technical decisions that consider both local and global impacts.

• Engage in architecture, design, and prioritization discussions.

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams through incremental delivery.

• Mentor peers and elevate standards through feedback and exemplary behavior.

• Support SOC2 compliance via recurring ceremonies, monitoring, and compliant platform design.

• Contribute to Kubernetes (AWS EKS) production operations and multi-team technical decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in product-focused platform or infrastructure teams, rather than solely ticket-driven operations.

• Proven experience in supporting and managing production infrastructure and internal platforms utilized by other teams.

• Some background as an SRE, platform, or infrastructure engineer.

• Working knowledge of AWS and container technologies.

• Genuine interest in Kubernetes with some hands-on experience.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code; experience with Terraform is a plus.

• Commitment to reliability, security, observability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Strong communication skills, collaborative approach, and an end-to-end ownership mindset.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and make real-world trade-offs.

• Product-oriented mindset with a focus on software quality.

• Willingness to participate in the paid on-call rotation after acquiring sufficient platform experience.

• English is the primary working language.
