Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly with product engineering teams to comprehend existing delivery methods and pinpoint actionable improvement opportunities.

• Assist teams in adopting Platform Enablement standards.

• Enhance development workflows, build pipelines, automated checks, release processes, and production readiness.

• Offer hands-on engineering support to eliminate obstacles and facilitate sustainable progress.

• Convert central platform guidance into actionable steps tailored to the context of each product team.

• Advocate for safe, dependable, and consistent software delivery practices throughout Civica.

• Gather feedback from product teams and transform recurring pain points into signals for platform enhancement.

• Proficient in CI/CD and automated production practices.

• Familiarity with trunk-based development and contemporary branching strategies.

• Experience in automated testing, quality gates, and ensuring release confidence.

• Understanding of build, versioning, promotion, and deployment concepts.

• Experience with observability, monitoring, and operational readiness.

• Knowledge of secure software delivery and shift-left controls.

• Familiarity with infrastructure, environment, and configuration management principles.

• Insight into developer experience and engineering enablement.

• Ability to engage stakeholders, coach, and influence without direct authority.
