Sr Lead Software Engineer – Shopping

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee a diverse range of technology projects along with a team of developers.

• Develop solutions that address the regulatory requirements of the organization.

• Keep abreast of technological advancements and explore new tools and technologies.

• Engage in both internal and external technology communities.

• Provide mentorship to members of the engineering team.

• Write or assess code as necessary.

• Collaborate closely with digital product managers.

• Deliver resilient cloud-based solutions that enhance experiences for millions of Americans.

• Utilize JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Go, open-source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools and services.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in software engineering (internships do not count).

• At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

• Preferred: A Master’s Degree.

• Preferred: Over 9 years of experience with JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go.

• Preferred: More than 4 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.

• Preferred: Over 4 years of experience in open source frameworks.

• Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in people management.

• Preferred: More than 2 years of experience with Agile methodologies.
