Sprinkler Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive CAD drawings for the installation of sprinkler systems.

• Analyze construction documents, existing building conditions, and architectural elements to ensure precise system design.

• Understand and implement NFPA standards in relation to building type, construction type, hazard classification, and architectural characteristics.

• Design and layout sprinkler systems utilizing specialized CAD software based on AutoCAD.

• Ensure coordination of sprinkler system piping with other structural elements.

• Conduct hydraulic calculations.

• Execute field checks of finalized designs prior to installation.

• Collaborate with district contracting teams on customer contracts, design timelines, and material delivery requirements.

• Manage the delivery of system materials to project locations.

• Provide mentorship to others in the execution of sprinkler design.

• Support the sales team with design estimates as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.

• 1-5 years of experience in fire sprinkler design.

• Practical experience with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Sprinkler Design Software, or similar sprinkler design applications.

• Capability to solve fundamental math problems, including geometry and algebra.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Sprinkler Design Software, and hydraulic calculation tools.

• Ability to interpret and apply relevant NFPA standards for Automatic Sprinkler System Layout.

• NICET Level III certification in Water-Based Systems Layout.
