Principal Learning Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the creation of impactful instructional content and experiences that align with research findings.

• Act as a subject matter expert in the fields of learning science and instructional design.

• Oversee and manage the design of instructional content and experiences in collaboration with product, research, and engineering teams.

• Provide mentorship to peers and promote best practices in learning design across various teams.

• Build credibility through participation in external advisory committees and industry, academic, and practitioner gatherings.

• Contribute to corporate communications and product marketing efforts.

• Foster continuous improvement through data analysis and feedback mechanisms.

• Lead initiatives for innovation and change in digital learning experiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's or doctoral degree in learning sciences, education, instructional design, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• At least 7 years of experience in instructional design or a related area.

• In-depth knowledge of instructional design principles and learning science.

• Proven experience in leading complex projects and influencing cross-functional teams.

• Demonstrated experience in mentoring and coaching multiple teams.

• Background in presenting at and engaging with external councils and convenings.

• Strong strategic thinking and communication abilities.

• A data-driven approach aimed at enhancing learning outcomes.

• Familiarity with digital learning platforms and tools.

• A commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive pedagogy.

• Capability to resolve intricate cross-functional challenges and lead change initiatives.

• Openness to adapting responsibilities in response to business needs.
