Speech Language Pathologist, SLP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication skills.

• Create tailored therapy plans and objectives based on assessment findings and individual student needs.

• Deliver direct therapy services focusing on articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills.

• Work in partnership with teachers, parents, and educational team members to enhance students' communication goals.

• Utilize evidence-based methodologies and therapeutic activities during therapy sessions.

• Track students' progress and modify therapy plans as necessary.

• Accurately and promptly document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other pertinent information.

• Engage in IEP meetings and contribute insights regarding students' speech and language requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Oklahoma Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing Speech and Language Pathology License.

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Oklahoma.

• Enthusiastic about working with K-12 students in a virtual environment.

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

• Oklahoma Division of Occupational & Professional Licensing Speech Language Pathology License.

• Experience in providing speech-language therapy services in educational or pediatric contexts.

• Proficient in assessment tools and therapeutic methods typically employed in pediatric speech-language pathology.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Experience with teletherapy or online counseling is preferred.

• Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technologies used in speech-language therapy is preferred.

• Capability to sit for extended periods and utilize a computer keyboard and mouse.

• Proficiency in effective verbal and written communication.

• Occasionally able to stand, walk, reach, and lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
