This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Assess, evaluate, and deliver speech-language therapy to students diagnosed with speech-language impairments.

• Document and track student progress and performance.

• Support the student support team (SST) and response to intervention (RTI) initiatives.

• Manage a caseload focused solely on speech-related cases.

• Ensure compliance for speech-only case managers.

• Adhere to regulations and compliance standards.

• Educate students and families on the use of suitable communication technologies, particularly alternative augmentative communication devices.

• Maintain comprehensive files and records, including progress reports, activity logs, treatment plans, and documentation.

• Engage in meetings, workshops, and seminars to share and gather relevant information.

• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and help prevent communication and swallowing disorders in children that impact classroom activities, social interaction, literacy, and learning.


⛳️ Requirements

• A valid Speech Language Pathology Certification from the South Carolina Department of Education is required.

• Candidates must reside in South Carolina.

• A Master’s degree in speech-language pathology and three (3) years of relevant speech/language work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.

• Extensive knowledge of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and its due process requirements.

• Profound expertise in conducting and interpreting comprehensive speech-language evaluations.

• Strong skills in providing effective speech-language therapy services.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to plan and implement speech-language services for children.

• Capable of designing and delivering staff development programs.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web applications.

• Willingness to travel 20% of the time for meetings, professional development, and other obligations.

• Must successfully pass background check requirements.

• Ability to work independently, generally exceeding 40 hours per week.

• Must maintain a professional home office free from distractions during standard work hours, typically 9-5 (or 8-4), or as defined by the school.
