Speech Language Pathologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Develop and provide speech/language therapy services for a caseload of students across Hope Learning Academy, Hope Therapeutic Day Academy, and Hope Vocational Academy located in Springfield, IL.

• Actively participate as a member of the students’ Individualized Education Plan (IEP) teams.

• Create and execute speech/language IEP goals effectively.

• Support and motivate teachers and staff to integrate and foster functional communication throughout daily routines.

• Deliver consistent and continuous services across all programs.

• Conduct speech/language therapy sessions either in the classroom or in other settings, either individually or in groups, as specified in students’ IEPs.

• Write and implement IEP present levels and goal recommendations, ensuring clear and effective communication during IEP meetings.

• Guarantee adherence to all IEP service minutes related to speech/language therapy.

• Order, develop, and manage Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and resources.

• Train educators and staff on the appropriate use of AAC devices in both educational and residential environments.

• Design and produce visuals and other assistive materials and devices.

• Perform formal and informal speech/language evaluations as deemed necessary by the IEP team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.

• American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence or currently in the Clinical Fellowship Year.

• Illinois Speech Language Pathologist State License required upon hiring.

• Illinois Professional Educator’s License with a Speech Language Pathology endorsement.
