This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.

• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.

• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.

• Cultivate robust customer relationships and address customer needs.

• Develop pre-call plans and perform post-call assessments.

• Manage objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to successfully finalize sales calls.

• Formulate and execute call plans that enhance coverage and frequency for key customers.

• Gain insights into customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical topics, and sales.

• Communicate market intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.

• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers.

• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.

• Operate in accordance with AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.

• Place the patient at the heart of all initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred; or relevant equivalent industry experience required.

• Relevant equivalent industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree: minimum of five (5) years, with three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector preferred.

• High school diploma/GED is required.

• Experience with buy & bill preferred.

• Proven ability to tailor selling techniques to match customer styles and behaviors.

• Capability to function effectively in a matrix environment.

• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.

• Strong business insight and proficient in the use of business tools.

• Possess strategic and critical thinking skills.

• Documented success in leadership and support at district, regional, and/or organizational levels.

• Valid driver's license.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving criteria.

• Willingness to travel sufficiently to cover the territory, including overnight training events and sales meetings.

• Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written.

• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain them.

• Capability to drive a personal vehicle or company car/truck, or operate powered material-handling equipment.
