This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactical initiatives in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish robust customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call strategies utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, clarifications, and concerns to encourage actions and finalize sales calls.
• Fulfill customer needs and expectations to cultivate trusted relationships and reach mutually beneficial agreements.
• Create and implement call strategies to meet metrics and enhance customer coverage and frequency.
• Acquire knowledge of customer requirements, territory market dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, clinical data, and sales proficiency.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field teams, brand, and sales management.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Work in collaboration with specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, in-field team members, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand stakeholders.
• Willing to travel approximately 25% of the time.
• A bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• If lacking a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience, including three or more years preferred in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector.
• A high school diploma/GED is necessary when using experience as a substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated success in sales is essential.
• Strong presentation capabilities are required.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred, such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to acquire credentials.
• Comprehensive understanding of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects is necessary.
• Strong business acumen and adept use of business tools are required.
• Possess strategic and critical thinking abilities.
• Capable of functioning effectively in a matrixed organization.
• Valid driver's license is essential.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with safe driving standards.
• Ability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
