This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field, manage sales performance, and effectively oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong relationships with customers and develop solutions to their needs to optimize both short-term and long-term sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed established targets.
• Develop pre-call plans using SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to enhance sales performance continuously.
• Skillfully address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns while securing logical and actionable outcomes to close sales successfully.
• Actively strive to meet customer needs and expectations, fostering trusted relationships to create mutually beneficial agreements between AbbVie and its customers.
• Formulate and implement a call plan that meets defined call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency with key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
• Continuously enhance knowledge of customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, and clinical and sales expertise, sharing this intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to ensure alignment and anticipate environmental changes and challenges for optimizing brand strategy execution.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers and identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and advocates to enhance brand performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• Relevant industry experience required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree includes at least five (5) years of experience, with three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrated success in sales with strong presentation skills.
• Proactively recognizes customer styles/behaviors and swiftly adjusts all aspects of the sales approach accordingly.
• Proposes innovative ideas and solutions to capitalize on business opportunities and tackle challenges.
• Provides impactful suggestions for the wider organization and anticipates and adapts to changes.
• Influences others and is regarded as a credible and respected resource among peers.
• Fosters collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and the matrix team.
• Leads by example, consistently demonstrating positive behaviors and providing peer coaching through changing and challenging circumstances.
• Proven success in leadership and support roles with increased responsibilities at the district, regional, and/or organizational levels.
• Understands and utilizes findings to develop effective sales strategies.
