This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster robust customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call plan objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Manage objections, misunderstandings, and concerns during sales interactions.
• Secure calls to action and successfully close sales conversations.
• Meet customer needs and expectations to cultivate trusted relationships and achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
• Formulate and implement call plans to fulfill call metrics and enhance coverage and frequency.
• Acquire knowledge of customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Provide market insights to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with designated health providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience required.
• Relevant industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years, including at least three years within the pharmaceutical/health/science sector, along with a high school diploma/GED required.
• Demonstrated history of leadership success.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Excellent business acumen.
• Proficient in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to identify customer styles/behaviors and quickly adapt the selling approach.
• Effectively function in a matrix environment.
• Preferred success in sales performance within applicable therapeutic areas.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical sector, such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing.
• Preferred comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing, preferred for non-English-speaking regions.
• Must meet applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible for credentials.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must comply with safe driving standards.
• Capable of driving a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
