This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing aims.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales outcomes.
• Develop pre-call strategies and conduct evaluations following calls.
• Address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns while securing calls to action during sales interactions.
• Attend to customer needs, expectations, and challenges to cultivate trusted relationships and reach mutually beneficial agreements.
• Formulate and implement call plans to optimize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Acquire knowledge of customer requirements, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, clinical data, and sales practices.
• Communicate market insights with in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to the assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and all relevant laws and regulations.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred.
• Relevant industry experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of experience, including at least three years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors is preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is necessary if relying on experience instead of a bachelor’s degree.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive information.
• Strong business insight and adeptness with business tools.
• Strategic and analytical thinking skills.
• Capability to adapt sales techniques to align with customer styles and behaviors.
• Ability to devise sales strategies and innovative solutions.
• Proficient in functioning effectively within a matrix environment.
• Experience in leadership and support roles at the district, region, and/or organizational levels is preferred.
• Proven sales success in the relevant therapeutic area is preferred.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical sector, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing, is preferred.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
• Must be able to pass background checks, drug screenings, immunization/vaccination verifications, fingerprinting, and meet any necessary state or city license requirements.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and fulfill safe driving criteria.
• Ability to operate a personal vehicle, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
