This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster strong customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales outcomes.
• Develop pre-call plan objectives and conduct post-call assessments.
• Address objections, clarify misunderstandings, and motivate calls to action to successfully close sales conversations.
• Attend to customer needs, expectations, and challenges to cultivate trusted relationships and reach mutually beneficial agreements.
• Create and implement call plans to fulfill call metrics and maximize coverage and frequency with key customers.
• Gain insight into customer requirements, the territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical issues, and sales practices.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred.
• Relevant and equivalent industry experience is required in place of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of experience, including at least three years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry is preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is required when using experience as a substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• A demonstrated history of successful leadership.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Robust business acumen.
• Proficient in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and swiftly adjust selling techniques.
• Effective operation in a matrix environment.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Preferred in-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing, is preferred for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
• Background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunizations/vaccinations, and fingerprinting may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is essential.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
