This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing targets.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and identify their needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Prepare pre-call plans and execute post-call evaluations.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings while securing calls to action during sales meetings.
• Attend to customer needs and establish trusted relationships.
• Develop and implement call plans to maximize customer engagement and sales opportunities.
• Acquire knowledge about customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, clinical information, and sales techniques.
• Communicate market intelligence to field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates.
• Operate in accordance with AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• A Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience is required.
• A minimum of five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience is needed in place of a bachelor’s degree, including three or more years preferred within the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors.
• A high school diploma or GED is required when using experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to tailor selling strategies to fit customer styles and behaviors.
• Capability to develop innovative sales strategies and solutions.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Experience in leadership and peer coaching.
• Proven track record of success in leadership/support roles with increasing responsibilities.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain HCIR credentials.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must meet safe driving criteria.
• Capability to drive a personal vehicle, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
