This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate robust customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call strategies utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns while securing calls to action to finalize sales interactions.
• Meet customer needs and expectations to establish trustworthy relationships and reach mutually beneficial agreements.
• Design and implement call plans to maximize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Gain insights into customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, clinical topics, and sales.
• Convey market intelligence to field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Comply with AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and all relevant laws and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• In the absence of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of relevant experience, including at least three years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector, and a high school diploma/GED is required.
• Proactively assesses customer style and behavior, adapting the selling approach accordingly.
• Capable of formulating sales strategies based on findings.
• Extensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and adeptness in utilizing business tools.
• Strategic and analytical thinking abilities.
• Effectiveness in operating within a matrix environment.
• Capability to influence others and serve as a credible role model and resource.
• Collaborative engagement with district colleagues and matrix teams.
• Documented leadership and contributions to success at district, regional, and/or organizational levels.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening test and adhere to safe driving standards.
• Willingness to travel adequately to cover the territory, attend overnight training events, and participate in sales meetings.
• Capacity to operate a personal vehicle, company car, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Proven track record of sales performance in respective therapeutic areas is preferred.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing standards and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain necessary credentials.
