This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Develop pre-call strategies using SMART objectives and conduct post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings while driving calls to action to finalize sales.
• Attend to customer needs and cultivate reliable customer relationships.
• Formulate and execute call plans to optimize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Acquire knowledge about customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales methodologies.
• Relay market insights to field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Highlight AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Travel is required approximately 20% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a related business field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• A minimum of five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree, with three or more years preferred in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector.
• A high school diploma/GED is required when relying on industry experience in place of a bachelor’s degree.
• A proactive approach to identifying customer styles and behaviors with the ability to adapt the selling strategy accordingly.
• Creative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive landscapes.
• Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Proven success in leadership and support roles with increasing responsibility.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain credentials.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Capability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving criteria.
• Willingness to travel as needed to cover the territory and participate in overnight training events and sales meetings.
