This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in West Virginia.
• Implement brand strategies and initiatives in the field.
• Achieve sales goals, brand key performance indicators, financial objectives, and marketing targets.
• Oversee the designated territory and focus accounts.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance sales outcomes.
• Develop pre-call strategies using SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, clarify misunderstandings, and resolve concerns to facilitate successful sales interactions.
• Meet customer expectations and foster trusted relationships.
• Create and implement call strategies that maximize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Acquire knowledge of customer requirements, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Provide market insights to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Communicate AbbVie’s unique value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, in-field team members, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand-plan stakeholders.
• Travel approximately 50% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience is required in place of a bachelor’s degree, including three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector is preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is required when utilizing industry experience instead of a bachelor’s degree.
• A proven history of success in sales is essential.
• Strong presentation skills are necessary.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written, is required.
• Must fulfill relevant HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing, or be eligible to obtain credentials.
• Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive factors.
• Strong business acumen and effective use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must comply with safe driving standards.
• Ability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
