This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in West Virginia.

📋 Description

• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics in the field.

• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts in West Virginia and nearby regions.

• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.

• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations.

• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to successfully conclude sales calls.

• Fulfill customer needs and cultivate trusted relationships with clients.

• Design and execute call plans to enhance coverage and frequency for key clients.

• Gather and share insights regarding customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical topics, and sales.

• Clearly communicate AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.

• Identify, nurture, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates.

• Collaborate with in-field team members, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand-plan stakeholders.

• Engage with specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other external stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a related business field preferred, or equivalent industry experience.

• A minimum of five years of relevant industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, with three or more years preferred in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector.

• High school diploma/GED required when relying on experience instead of a bachelor’s degree.

• Proven success in sales.

• Excellent presentation skills.

• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.

• Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal.

• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain credentials.

• Demonstrates extensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.

• Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools.

• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.

• Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
