This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and address customer needs effectively.
• Develop pre-call strategies using SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to secure calls to action for closing sales.
• Attend to customer needs and foster trusted relationships with clients.
• Create and execute call plans to enhance customer coverage and sales prospects.
• Gain insights into customer requirements, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical subjects, and sales.
• Relay market intelligence to field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Collaborate with specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, field teams, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand-plan stakeholders.
• Travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Operate in a field-based role covering Eastern North Carolina, including Greenville, Fayetteville, and Wilmington.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• Relevant and equivalent industry experience is required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree: at least five years of experience, with three or more years preferred in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry.
• A high school diploma/GED is required when relying on industry experience instead of a bachelor’s degree.
• A proven track record of success in sales is essential.
• Strong presentation skills are necessary.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing, is required.
• Must fulfill applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to acquire necessary credentials.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings, immunization/vaccination verification, fingerprinting, and any specific state or city license requirements as applicable.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools are required.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must meet safe driving requirements.
