This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings, ensuring calls to action to finalize sales calls.
• Meet customer needs and cultivate trusted relationships with clients.
• Create and execute call plans to meet metrics and enhance customer coverage and frequency.
• Gain insights into customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales strategies.
• Disseminate market intelligence with field teams, brand teams, and sales management.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Collaborate with specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and stakeholders in brand planning.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
• Minimum of five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience acceptable in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, including three or more years preferred within the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors.
• High school diploma/GED is required when substituting experience for a bachelor’s degree.
• Proven success in sales.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain them.
• Demonstrated comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving criteria.
• Capable of operating a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
