This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Implement AbbVie brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong relationships with customers and address their needs.
• Develop pre-call strategies utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings, and secure calls to action to finalize sales calls.
• Fulfill customer needs while establishing trusted relationships.
• Create and execute call plans to meet call metrics and enhance coverage and frequency.
• Gain insights into customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical topics, and sales.
• Provide market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Collaborate with specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, field team members, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand-plan stakeholders.
• Travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and all relevant laws and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree, including three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry is preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is required when experience is used in place of a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated history of success in sales.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to tailor selling strategies to customer styles and behaviors.
• Capacity to develop creative ideas and solutions.
• Leadership and supportive experience at district, region, and/or organizational levels.
• Preferred experience in the pharmaceutical commercial industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain credentials.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business acumen and adeptness with business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and fulfill safe driving criteria.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
