Specialty Infusion Account Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee patient accounts across various areas, including insurance and benefit verification, management of denials, and collections.

• Identify assistance programs, like drug copay cards, for which patients may be eligible.

• Support patients in enrolling in assistance programs.

• Track services provided.

• Invoice assistance programs for relevant funds.

• Stay updated on insurance company regulations regarding pre-certification, documentation, or claims submission requirements.

• Engage in communication with physicians, staff, patients, and insurance companies.

• Act as a resource for staff and patients alike.

• Execute responsibilities in alignment with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience is required.

• Some college coursework in Business, Finance, or Accounting is preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of claims processes and insurance regulations.

• Familiarity with oncology coding and billing practices.

• Awareness of updates in pre-certification, documentation, or claims submission requirements.

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical abilities.

• Capability to perform under stress, meet deadlines, and fulfill daily tasks with accuracy.

• Proficient in using logic and sound judgment to quickly identify and initiate corrective measures when issues arise.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to effectively interact with VBO management and colleagues in challenging situations.
