This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Represent Amgen products to healthcare professionals and physicians.
• Manage total territory account responsibilities while driving product sales.
• Educate medical professionals and external stakeholders on disease-related information and patient care.
• Meet designated sales targets by providing education on diseases and products to healthcare providers.
• Execute marketing objectives through strategic business plans for accounts.
• Collaborate within a matrix structure with Case Managers, Medical Affairs, Patient Access, and other cross-functional teams.
• Leverage peer-to-peer education and company resources to fill knowledge gaps.
• Navigate the healthcare landscape to uncover opportunities within academic institutions, IDNs, accountable care organizations, private practices, and community hospital systems.
• Build business relationships with local, regional, and national Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
• Cultivate and sustain extensive knowledge in disease, therapy, clinical, and scientific areas.
• Employ a consultative, technical, and solution-focused selling approach.
• Comply with corporate policies and regulations, including necessary documentation and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of combined experience in account management, sales, and commercial roles; OR a Master’s degree with 6 years; OR a Doctorate with 2 years; OR an Associate degree with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 7 years in biotech, specialty pharmaceuticals, or sales within rare diseases.
• At least 3 years of experience related to rare disease/orphan drug, nephrology, or similar fields.
• A minimum of 3 years involved in office injection/infusion sales for a product that requires extensive coordination with patient access services.
• Prior experience in a matrix selling environment, working alongside patient services, market access, medical affairs, and reimbursement teams.
• Experience in market development and deep profiling within rare, unmet medical spaces.
• Proven ability to educate healthcare professionals about complex medical conditions.
• A strong track record of consistently achieving high performance levels.
• Capability to operate independently in a dynamic and challenging professional environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and computer skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Professional and proactive attitude.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20-30%, which may include overnight and weekend commitments.
