This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Represent Amgen products to healthcare professionals and physicians.
• Manage total territory accounts while driving product sales.
• Provide education and information about diseases to medical professionals and external customers involved in patient care.
• Meet assigned sales targets through patient-focused disease and product education, ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines.
• Execute marketing-plan objectives via strategic account business plans.
• Collaborate within a matrix environment, working alongside Case Managers, Medical Affairs, Patient Access, and other cross-functional partners.
• Leverage peer-to-peer education and company resources to fill knowledge gaps.
• Navigate the healthcare landscape to discover opportunities across academic institutions, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), accountable care organizations, private practices, and community hospital systems.
• Build and sustain productive relationships with local, regional, and national key opinion leaders (KOLs).
• Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of diseases, therapies, clinical practices, and scientific advancements.
• Employ a consultative, technical, and solution-oriented sales approach.
• Document and report activities in line with compliance and corporate policies.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of combined experience in account management, sales, and commercial roles; OR Master’s degree with 6 years; OR Doctorate degree with 2 years; OR Associate degree with 10 years.
• Over 7 years of experience in biotech, specialty pharmaceuticals, or rare disease sales.
• A minimum of 3 years in rare disease/orphan drug sales, nephrology, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of sales experience in in-office injection/infusion products that require extensive coordination with patient access services.
• Prior experience in a matrix selling environment, collaborating with patient services, market access, medical affairs, and reimbursement.
• Proven experience in market development and deep profiling in rare, unmet medical needs.
• Demonstrated success in educating healthcare professionals about complex diseases.
• A documented history of consistently delivering exceptional performance.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and highly challenging environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and computer skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Professional and proactive demeanor.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20–30%, including some overnight and weekend commitments.
