Specialized Education Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver legally compliant, specially tailored instruction and compensatory education services as required.

• Provide virtual instruction to K-12 students who have active IEPs.

• Design and implement data-driven, individualized lesson plans.

• Focus on reading and literacy, foundational math, executive functioning, organizational strategies, and functional/adaptive life skills.

• Create, manage, and oversee student IEPs, including case management responsibilities.

• Collaborate with IEP teams to coordinate schedules and customize instruction.

• Administer screenings, perform progress monitoring, and conduct formal outcome assessments.

• Provide instruction in resource/inclusion settings as well as self-contained classrooms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Special Education teaching license/certification.

• Experience in a school setting providing specially designed instruction.

• Proven ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.

• Strong collaborative communication skills for engaging with IEP teams, teachers, parents, and students.

• Proficiency in delivering virtual services using online meeting platforms.

• Solid understanding of instructional technology.

• A dedicated, private workspace.

• A secure, high-speed internet connection.

• Reliable computer and webcam.

• Availability Monday through Friday during standard school hours, from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

• Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.
