Specialist, Supply Chain Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and execute supplier capacity expansion plans that are strategically important.

• Collaborate with internal leadership and supply base leaders to create and implement targeted sourcing strategies.

• Manage the planning and execution of program-specific capacity expansion initiatives within a designated portfolio.

• Update internal leadership and external clients on program strategies aimed at achieving specified production rates.

• Develop and present presentations to peers, clients, suppliers, and management.

• Form and lead cross-functional teams focused on non-recurring engineering (NRE), dual sourcing, and long-lead material initiatives.

• Ensure alignment among program, supply chain, operations, and customer goals.

• Aid in the development of supplier capacity expansion program plans and associated proposals.

• Assist in the negotiation of subsequent subcontract agreements.

• Influence and confirm supplier budget and schedule baselines using Earned Value Management System (EVMS).

• Oversee Supply Chain Management (SCM) financial reporting, including material Estimate at Completion (EAC) reports, material forecasts, and Cost Account Manager (CAM) inputs.

• Guide less experienced team members in setting priorities and coordinating program activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in supply chain management.

• Graduate Degree and at least 2 years of related supply chain experience.

• Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of related supply chain experience without a degree.

• Willingness to travel 15% to other L3Harris facilities and supplier locations nationwide.

• Proven track record of success in a rapidly expanding organization is preferred.

• Ability to thrive under multiple deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

• Experience managing budgets and negotiating contracts exceeding $100M in the defense acquisition sector is preferred.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as FAR/DFARS, AS9100, MDA CUI, and SPRS is preferred.

• Experience in supporting solid rocket motor programs or qualifying new suppliers/materials under tight schedules is preferred.

• Background in capital expansion or capital expenditure projects that support rapid growth objectives is preferred.

• Experience managing complex projects with general oversight is essential.

• Strong understanding of defense acquisition project management methodologies, including program planning, integrated master scheduling, earned value management, and cost account management.
