This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Offer specialized operational support to research teams.
• Collaborate with external experts and contractors across various fields.
• Ensure that external contributions adhere to quality standards and enhance the experience for collaborators.
• Assist with data projects, which include securing and licensing data for data-center tracking while maintaining compliance.
• Organize events like expert symposiums.
• Manage external communication channels, including the audience-query inbox.
• Address or triage audience inquiries with the team.
• Provide operational assistance for new research initiatives.
• Manage complex logistics and handle the numerous tasks necessary for the smooth launch and operation of projects.
• Passionately keep up with AI advancements and understand concepts such as GPQA Diamond and benchmark saturation.
• Ability to take ownership of projects that lack a detailed playbook.
• Competence in deconstructing complex challenges into manageable steps and formulating creative solutions.
• Proactively seek and swiftly integrate feedback.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback, including to supervisors.
• Naturally organized and detail-oriented, with strong attention to detail.
• Two years or more of relevant work experience in roles that involve multiple moving parts.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable with direct and empathetic communication.
• Enthusiastic about working in a startup-like, fast-paced environment.
• Driven by Epoch AI’s mission to enhance humanity’s understanding of AI development.
• Professional-level proficiency in English.
• Willingness or ability to travel for three annual retreats and other pertinent work trips.
• Annual salary ranging from $95,000 to $153,000 USD, based on experience and location.
• Fully remote work environment, including flexible working hours.
