This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Provide tailored instruction to students with special needs.
• Oversee instructional programs for students with special needs from a home office located in Ohio.
• Engage in all phases of the IEP process.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and special education professionals to ensure program effectiveness and adherence to federal and state regulations.
• Leverage technology to facilitate virtual instruction.
• Manage and offer instructional support, virtual teaching, and general strategies for a caseload of students needing direct and/or indirect services.
• Create, write, implement, and track IEPs and 504 plans.
• Monitor student progress, complete report cards, and hold parent conferences.
• Maintain regular communication with students’ IEP teams, parents/learning coaches, related service providers, and school personnel.
• Deliver direct services to students via web-conferencing software as necessary.
• Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate IEP-related meetings in a virtual setting.
• Contribute to the school’s Student Support Team.
• Assist teachers and learning coaches in developing and executing program modifications and strategies.
• Support the organization and execution of paperwork, documentation, and procedures for the IEP process.
• Help coordinate related service providers as required by IEPs.
• Keep accurate and current data in the school’s Learning Management System and special education software.
• Aid in administering state testing and arranging special adaptations mandated by IEPs.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Candidates must possess an Ohio Certification to be eligible.
• Applicants must live within 30 miles of an Ohio border.
• A valid Ohio Special Education Certificate is required.
• A degree in Special Education or a related Educational Field is necessary.
• Successful completion of background checks or clearances, including the Child Abuse History Clearance, is essential.
• Experience in policy (IDEA) and/or administration within Special Education is preferred.
• Proficient technology skills, especially with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite, are required.
• Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written, are a must.
• Highly organized and punctual individuals are sought.
• A customer-centric approach is essential.
• High levels of flexibility and adaptability are necessary.
• Proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is required.
• A history of being a team player is important.
• Willingness to travel for marketing, state testing, and other school events, including potential overnight trips, is required.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting is essential.
• Must be equipped to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication.
