This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Act as a strategic partner to the President & CEO and Chief of Staff in the oversight and management of the organization and Executive Team.
• Serve as the primary liaison among various departments.
• Lead and implement special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Oversee the President & CEO’s internal and external engagements, including preparation of materials, meetings, decisions, action items, and representation.
• Prioritize initiatives, manage competing demands, support decision-making, escalate issues, and ensure follow-through.
• Build and maintain relationships with staff, funders, partners, and policymakers.
• Provide administrative and operational assistance for the Executive Office, encompassing communications, travel, expenses, and stakeholder records.
• Proactively oversee the President & CEO’s calendar and scheduling requests.
• Track and complete administrative and compliance tasks, such as contracts, invoices, and notarizations.
• Organize and execute organizational events using timelines, checklists, and run-of-show documents.
• Coordinate venue and vendor sourcing, catering, dietary accommodations, event materials, and onsite logistics.
• Test technical and AV materials, presentations, video, and virtual meeting platforms.
• Manage logistics for hybrid and virtual meetings.
• Collaborate with the events team on speaker outreach and event planning.
• Source and manage contracts related to event vendors.
• Align messaging strategy and organizational voice with External Affairs.
• Develop, produce, and maintain speeches, presentations, briefing materials, reports, and other communications.
• Conduct research and analysis to support messaging and strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate activities for the Board of Directors and committees, including agendas, materials, outcomes, communications, reports, presentations, updates, action items, and follow-up.
• Assist affiliate entity boards as required.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
• Proven experience in planning and executing complex, high-visibility events, including vendor and contract management, onsite logistics, and real-time troubleshooting under pressure.
• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadline-driven priorities and administrative processes to completion independently.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in fast-paced, high-stakes, or live environments.
• 6 to 8+ years of relevant professional experience, including support for senior leadership, event management, or leading complex projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• A background in community or economic development, public policy, or a related field is preferred.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in building and managing relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and external partners.

• Proficient with standard business tools and systems, including Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Asana or similar CRM platforms.
• Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
• Ability to work remotely and provide travel/onsite support as required.
