Spanish to English Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which you are interpreting, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, ensuring no additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service in your interpreting role.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing accurate and complete message interpretation.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report regularly to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in OPI is essential.

• Security Clearance is required (assistance will be provided if needed).

• Must possess Citizenship or a Green Card.

• Fluency in the source language (English) and native proficiency in the target language (Spanish).

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology is required.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language is necessary.

• High emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance are essential.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills are required.
