This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Acquire goods and services while supporting the sourcing and purchasing requirements for designated stations/business units.
• Create and assess quotations/bids and recommend suppliers for selection.
• Ensure the prompt delivery of goods and services.
• Negotiate terms and issue purchase orders.
• Review and coordinate technical specifications, costs, and delivery expectations.
• Address accounts payable and delivery concerns.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate spending by category.
• Implement sourcing and negotiation strategies to meet savings objectives.
• Measure and monitor performance across established spending categories.
• Cultivate and sustain supplier relationships.
• Engage in cross-functional sourcing teams.
• Assist in the execution of supplier KPIs and promote continuous improvement.
• Process claims against suppliers for unsatisfactory materials, delivery, or equipment.
• Ensure warehouse staff adhere to Supply Chain policies and procedures.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels while reducing shortages and delays.
• Respond to audits, surveys, and information inquiries.
• Collect and analyze industry, economic, market, and spending data.
• Support the company’s Supplier Diversity initiatives.
• Communicate the impacts of sourcing decisions to management and staff.
• Develop, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts.
• Ensure adherence to company and Supply Chain policies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• Partial credit may be awarded for Associate degrees or technical certifications.
• Experience in the energy sector, particularly in electricity generation/retail.
• Over 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, generation, or corporate functions.
• At least 1 year of experience with SAP applications.
• Proficient negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of negotiation and contracting processes.
• Understanding of purchasing policies, procedures, and practices.
• Knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code and business law.
• Proficient in computer applications and SAP or other ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, time-management, communication, interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Capacity to plan, prioritize, and independently manage workload.
• Ability to make timely, data-driven decisions.
• Capability to occasionally lift as required to fulfill duties and responsibilities.
