This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage the entire procurement lifecycle from initial intake and sourcing to purchase orders, vendor onboarding, and invoice reconciliation.
• Ensure that procurement requests are processed efficiently to prevent any delays for business teams.
• Enhance procurement procedures within Zip and related systems by eliminating bottlenecks and implementing data-quality controls.
• Provide reports on the procurement pipeline, cycle time, and savings achieved.
• Conduct sourcing events from scoping to awarding, including vendor assessments, RFx execution, and contract renewals.
• Offer sourcing recommendations and create business cases for awards and renewals using total cost of ownership, rightsizing licenses, vendor consolidation, and market benchmarking.
• Measure and quantify savings delivered.
• Lead negotiations for commercial agreements assigned to you.
• Collaborate with Legal, Security, and Privacy teams to ensure suitable contract terms are established.
• Utilize AI for summarizing contracts, first-pass redlines, analysis of spending and proposals, market research, and communication with stakeholders.
• Validate AI-generated outputs against original source documents before application.
• Share successful AI methodologies with colleagues.
• Educate and empower the business with playbooks and guidance on how to engage with procurement.
• Communicate procurement needs, cost evaluations, and trade-offs to engineers, vendors, and finance leaders.
• Utilize AI, data, and scalable processes to enhance productivity, decision-making, innovation, and overall results.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or contract operations, preferably in managing SaaS and software expenditures.
• Practical experience with an intake-to-procure or procurement workflow platform such as Zip, Coupa, Ariba, or similar systems.
• Experience in reviewing and amending commercial agreements while collaborating with Legal to finalize outstanding terms.
• Proven track record of managing sourcing events or renewals through to award or signature decisions.
• Experience in presenting sourcing recommendations, cost analyses, and commercial trade-offs to finance, technical, and vendor stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple procurement requests simultaneously at different stages, with documented tracking in a procurement or workflow system.
• Familiarity with using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Claude for research, communication, analysis, documentation, automation, workflow optimization, and decision-making.
• Established practice of verifying AI outputs against the source documents or systems of record prior to decision-making or sharing.
• Preferred: 3 or more years of procurement experience, including end-to-end management of sourcing events.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, finance, or a related discipline.
• CPSM, CIPS, or a similar professional certification.
• Knowledge of SaaS licensing models, usage-based pricing, renewal timing, vendor risk, and security and privacy assessment processes.
• Experience in creating or automating procurement workflows, including using AI solutions.
• Proficiency in Notion, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.
• Previous experience in a remote-first, fast-paced technology environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
