This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Sell fire alarm systems, fire protection systems, and other related products.
• Meet or exceed orders/bookings, gross margin, and annual sales targets.
• Identify and develop new opportunities with contractors and end-users within the designated territory.
• Generate new market share by marketing products and services to prospective customers.
• Prospect, qualify, and follow up on potential opportunities.
• Cultivate customer relationships through a consultative selling approach.
• Conduct follow-ups after installation to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform needs assessments and create sales proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations.
• Provide accurate sales activity forecasts and potential revenue predictions.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, services, and customer needs.
• Present approved marketing materials and effectively communicate the company's value proposition.
• Establish call plans and strategies for customer follow-ups.
• Utilize time and territory management techniques effectively.
• Influence new construction specifications through engineering relationships and educational presentations.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, legal, and other departments to facilitate sales.
• Develop and implement sales strategies targeting end-users, developers, consulting engineers, and contractors.
• Prepare promotional campaigns for commercial markets.
• Maintain and regularly update the company CRM system.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in achieving or surpassing sales quotas for fire alarm systems with contractors and end-users.
• Proven sales track record with the ability to organically expand the business by delivering solutions to a new client base.
• Deep understanding of fire alarm life safety systems, low-voltage systems, installation, and testing procedures.
• Minimum NICET Level II certification in fire alarm systems.
• Technical proficiency with the ability to interpret drawings and codes.
• Experience in selling technical solutions through the contracting channel.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present to diverse audiences.
• Excellent negotiation abilities and a competitive mindset.
• Willingness to travel by air and/or ground overnight as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
