Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the sales team and potential customers to understand use cases and technical specifications.

• Proactively progress deals by addressing technical objections and aligning Zoo solutions with customer goals.

• Ensure a smooth transition to the post-sale customer lifecycle.

• Work alongside customers and internal teams to promote the adoption of new products among existing clients.

• Engage with customers to guarantee the success of use cases developed using Zoo’s APIs.

• Acquire extensive product knowledge and effectively present Zoo products to clients.

• Create interactive customer demonstrations and share best practices for integration throughout the sales process.

• Gather requirements and provide insights on how to apply Zoo products and technologies to meet customer business objectives.

• Convert prospect feedback into valuable product insights.

• Collaborate with sales to secure new enterprise customers.

• Guide enterprise clients through impactful proof-of-concept projects focused on ROI-driven outcomes.

• Support sales as the technical authority in finalizing significant commercial production agreements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Proven experience in a customer-facing engineering position, with a history of facilitating technical sales to large enterprise clients.

• Ability to comprehend customers’ workflows, requirements, and decision-making processes, and translate those insights into effective technical solutions.

• Capability to lead technical assessments and manage requirements, next steps, and follow-up across multiple accounts.

• Comfortable working with enterprise customers on technical, security, and compliance requirements, including managing ITAR-controlled data according to established procedures.

• Familiarity with CAD software.

• General engineering knowledge with a practical understanding of APIs and the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

• Hands-on experience with AI tools such as Codex.

• Sound technical judgment and the ability to articulate capabilities, limitations, and solution roadmaps without overpromising.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage executives and explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
