Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical lead for a merchant's experience from the initial discovery call to the first transaction in production.

• Create solutions and establish integrations for merchant payment processing.

• Conduct technical discovery sessions with prospective clients to grasp payment infrastructures, requirements, and limitations.

• Present product demonstrations and technical presentations to both engineering and product teams.

• Develop tailored payment orchestration solutions and integration architectures for each merchant.

• Address RFPs, security questionnaires, and technical due diligence alongside the Sales team.

• Manage the entire implementation process from kickoff and integration planning to testing and launch.

• Assist merchant developers with APIs, SDKs, webhooks, and payment method configurations.

• Diagnose integration challenges across payment processes, API logs, and third-party services.

• Create reusable demo environments, integration documentation, and technical guides.

• Transition live merchants to Technical Account Management with comprehensive context and documentation.

• Relay ongoing merchant needs and integration challenges back to Product and Engineering teams.

• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and merchant development teams throughout LATAM.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English, both written and verbal, is mandatory.

• Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is advantageous.

• Over 4 years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, technical implementation, or integration roles.

• Practical technical expertise in REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, HTTP debugging, and proficiency in at least one programming language for developing demos and sample integrations.

• Understanding of payment systems: gateways, PSPs, acquirers, card networks, 3DS, tokenization, refunds, chargebacks, and various payment methods.

• Experience engaging in technical discussions with both engineering teams and business stakeholders.

• Demonstrated success in delivering integration projects with external development teams within set timelines.

• Comfortable using SQL and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or similar.

• Ability to handle multiple merchants and deals simultaneously without sacrificing technical depth.

• Adaptable to a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities and processes frequently change.
