Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Collaborate with sales to evaluate customer networks, gather technical requirements and challenges, and translate them into customized solution designs that yield measurable business results.

• Create, test, and implement multipath traffic orchestration systems in both satellite and terrestrial settings utilizing Quvia products alongside third-party integrations.

• Establish customer profiles at the edge, in the cloud, and at datacenters/POPs.

• Lead end-to-end proof-of-concept initiatives, encompassing success criteria, solution design, hardware specifications, installation, configuration, and testing.

• Resolve complex issues in coordination with customers, QA, and Engineering teams.

• Manage the transition from proof-of-concept to production.

• Employ scripting and DevOps methodologies for configuration templating, workflow automation, and tools that support demos, POCs, and sustainable deployments.

• Serve as a technical consultant on terrestrial and satellite communication systems, providing status updates and health metrics to customer stakeholders.

• Facilitate training sessions and workshops for both customers and internal teams.

• Collaborate with sales, product management, systems, engineering, QA, and service delivery teams.

• Develop and maintain thorough solution and service documentation.

• Ensure successful project transitions to relevant teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering within terrestrial and/or satellite communications, including multi-link architecture.

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing and switching, network security, wireless communications, and datacenter networking.

• Practical experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and multi-vendor SD-WAN and Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) platforms such as Fortinet, VMware VeloCloud, Cisco (Meraki/Viptela), Cradlepoint (Ericsson), Palo Alto, or comparable enterprise solutions.

• Experience with scripting and DevOps in a networking context, including Python, REST APIs, configuration orchestration, zero-touch provisioning, and workflow automation.

• Proven history of leading customer-facing POCs, deployments, or migrations in large enterprise settings.

• Ability to translate customer network needs and challenges into business outcomes and effectively communicate value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Familiarity with managing virtual infrastructure using VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or KVM.

• Comprehensive understanding of computer hardware and operating systems.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the confidence to lead discussions with customers at both engineering and executive levels.

• Business acumen and capability to identify opportunities for cost reduction, delivery simplification, and market expansion through solution design.

• Project management experience and proficiency in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Knowledge of satellite communication (SATCOM) systems is advantageous.

• Experience with cloud-hosted networking and security solutions, such as Azure- or AWS-hosted NGFW, is a plus.
