This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the design and modeling of comprehensive architectures, system integration diagrams, and technical specifications for federal IT initiatives.
• Work closely with technical leads and stakeholders to break down functional, operational, and mission requirements into well-structured solution designs and technical user stories.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, which includes system-of-systems diagrams, interface control documents, and architectural blueprints for government evaluation.
• Facilitate the integration of multi-tier software applications, cloud hosting infrastructure, data engineering pipelines, and AI/ML workflows.
• Collaborate with software development, infrastructure, and testing teams to offer architectural guidance, resolve technical issues, and ensure adherence to design standards.
• Integrate federal security baselines into architectures, supporting compliance with NIST RMF, FedRAMP, and DoD Cloud Computing SRG IL2–IL6.
• Utilize cloud-native design patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies to enable continuous delivery.
• Assist in the technical design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable, and resilient IT and cloud solutions for federal and DoD projects.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Over 4 years of professional technical experience in software engineering, systems engineering, cloud engineering, or solutions architecture.
• Experience in designing, configuring, or deploying solutions within cloud computing environments; AWS experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with microservices architectures, full-stack design patterns, and API integration standards such as REST and GraphQL.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with automated CI/CD pipelines, version control workflows, and integrated security scanning practices.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or equivalent certification in Azure/GCP is preferred.
• Previous federal government or DoD contract experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with tools such as GitLab, Jira, and Databricks is preferred.
• Exposure to data lakes, distributed data processing, ETL/ELT pipelines, or Apache Spark is preferred.
• Knowledge of AI/ML integration concepts, including RAG, LLM APIs, and MLOps workflows is preferred.
• Experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe is preferred.
