Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Assist field sales in demonstrating the benefits of Kong API Management & Connectivity solutions to customers.

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients throughout the entire sales process, from initial discovery and requirement analysis to product demonstrations and implementation.

• Support proof of concept initiatives during the evaluation phase.

• Onboard and educate new customers while identifying revenue opportunities with existing clients.

• Collaborate with support, product, and engineering teams to prioritize customer requirements and ensure satisfaction across assigned accounts.

• Develop technical documentation for DevOps, implementation, and service engagements.

• Engage in lead-generating activities such as writing blog posts, conducting webinars, and participating in industry events.

• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in pre-sales Solution Engineering or comparable roles at a SaaS, Open-source, or Enterprise Software organization.

• Proven experience with Open-source technology.

• Solid foundational knowledge and understanding of API Management & Integration, Cloud computing trends, and Open-source business models.

• Capable of presenting and facilitating discussions with C-level executives, Directors, Product Managers, and Engineers.

• Passionate about thriving in a dynamic, high-profile startup environment.

• Previous exposure to API Gateway or Service Mesh is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes.

• Strong understanding of NGINX, HTTP, AWS, Postgres, and/or Cassandra.

• Proficient in working with Linux operating systems.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with DCOS/Mesos and Docker Swarm is beneficial.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located.
