Solutions Architect – Enterprise Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee the discovery process, scoping, solution design, and estimation for integration projects.

• Establish trusted-advisor relationships with clients throughout pre-sales and delivery phases.

• Identify core business challenges and convert them into platform-native solutions.

• Conduct customer workshops, architecture evaluations, whiteboarding sessions, and executive presentations.

• Manage Solutions Design Documents, Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), estimates, and criteria for definition-of-done.

• Offer architectural guidance throughout the integration lifecycle from initial intake to go-live and handover.

• Utilize fixed-price-engineering models, reusable connectors, and prioritize configuration over custom coding in design.

• Ensure adherence to ORCA contract fidelity and platform conventions during implementations.

• Share insights and establish standards through the Architecture Review Council.

• Confirm scope, requirements, and estimates prior to delivery commitments and highlight misfit deals early on.

• Mentor and guide both PortX and customer development teams.

• Transform engagement work into reusable connectors, templates, mappings, patterns, or documented playbooks.

• Employ AI tools for code generation, spec-driven scaffolding, automated conformance scoring, and documentation creation.

• Promote continuous enhancement of integration patterns, delivery methodologies, estimation models, tooling, and documentation.

• Lead practical spikes, reference implementations, and recovery efforts as necessary.

• Ensure quality governance, review pull requests, and prototype without becoming a delivery bottleneck.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven enterprise integration consulting and implementation experience with APIs, event-driven architecture, and integration platforms/iPaaS.

• Experience in leading engagements rather than merely participating in them.

• Strong customer-facing abilities, including discovery, workshop facilitation, estimation, executive communication, and commercial scope management.

• Capability to read and assess code, ensure quality governance, review pull requests, and prototype solutions.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted engineering, encompassing code generation, agentic tooling, and spec-to-code workflows.

• Familiarity with containerization, Kubernetes/GitOps-style deployment, and AWS.

• Experience in OpenAPI-first design, utilizing and defining web services, Git, and standard build tools.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Strong spoken and written English communication abilities.

• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management competencies.

• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines.

• Confident presence in customer interactions, with a knack for building trust and engagement.

• US citizenship is required.

• Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Experience in the banking, credit union, or payments domain is highly preferred.

• Preference for candidates with experience in productizing service delivery through templates, SDKs, connector libraries, or fixed-price packaging.

• Experience in establishing or managing architecture governance is strongly preferred.
